I don't know if I can stress enough how happy I am to still be in this City.
As I think I've mentioned before, I have moved to a new city every year for the past five. I start over. I burn down what I knew and raise from a different pile of ashes. And as I approach one year in New York, I have to admit, I am very happy.
Not always, there are still goals that I've yet to meet, but what I do accomplish artistically feels legitimate and worthy of my energy.
Even when it comes to my health, I am better here. I've been getting nerve blocks less often, and the freedom of being able to get to a doctors appointment without needing someone to drive me is reason enough to feel a healthy piece of mind.
But most importantly I feel loved.
I am amazed by the quality of the people here. I have found a community of friends so loving that even their significant others can't wait to meet me. I have three best friends in this city and see each of them at least once a month (usually week). And no matter how tumultuous my life has hinted, these friends have held on, and that's something I really have learned not to expect.
All in all, this city is amazing me, and I can't wait to see what's next to unfold.
You are so loved my dear!! I’m glad you’re finding happiness amongst the chaos :)
